Ingredients For Palak Paneer: -
- 250g paneer, cut into cubes
- 250g fresh spinach leaves, washed
- 2 medium-sized onions, chopped
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, chopped (adjust according to your spice preference)
- 10-12 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- 6-7 Cashew nuts (optional)
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Jerra powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 2 spoon heavy cream (optional)
- Salt to taste
- 4 tsp oil or ghee for cooking
Ingredients For Palak Paneer: -
- Boil some water in a pan or kadhai. Add the spinach leaves and Cook them for 2 minutes.
- Drain the spinach and immediately place it in a dish of normal water. This helps to keep the spinach's vivid green color.
- In a pan, add a tablespoon of oil. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Then add green chilies, ginger, garlic, and onions.
- Add 6-7 Cashew nuts( optional ). Sauté until the onions become transparent.
- Add chopped tomatoes to the pan and mix well.
- Add 1/2 spoon salt and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
- Turn off the heat and let the mix cool down slightly. Then transfer all to a blender and blend it into a smooth puree.
- In the same pan heat oil, Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and jeera powder. Mix well and cook for a minute.
- Now, add the blanched spinach to the pan. Mix well.
- Add some water and salt.
- Stir and cook for 3 minutes.
- Add cream and Garam masala. Mix well.
- Add paneer cubes to the spinach mixture.
- Add mix well. Cook for 2 mins.
- Once done, remove from heat and serve hot with rice and naan or roti.
